About

Since its creation in 1977 in Paris, the Centre Pompidou has maintained a dialogue with society to explore the paths of modernity alongside artists.

The Centre Pompidou offers an open, free programme to introduce visitors to the art of the 20th and 21st centuries. It takes place every school year and is composed of digital learning and face-to-face moments. The MOOC (free online courses open to all) invite you to enter the world of art and creation. They offer a lively approach through videos, documentary resources and various educational activities.

The Centre Pompidou gets into Pop !

Pop Art is one of the great artistic movements of the 20th century, which drew much inspiration from popular culture, advertising, design and fashion and which in turn fed Pop Culture. Who says Pop Art, obviously says Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, the emblematic figures of the movement. Did you know that? Pop Art was not born in the United States but in England.

Immerse yourself in Pop, with its works, its artists and its secrets!

To accompany you in this discovery, the Centre Pompidou also organises free events in the Centre Pompidou spaces, such as masterclasses with artists and guided tours, linked to the MOOC theme, in the collections of the Musée national d’art moderne.
